PALS Party
PALS Party is a VIP reception and party with silent auction. It will be held on Feb. 21 at the Gainesville Country Club from 7-10 pm. Hairspray The Musical star, Nikki Blonsky and premier New York talent agency owner Maryann Raposo of Dream Makers Talent Agency, will be involved in a question and answer session with all patrons. Blonsky will also sing and dance with area middle and high school students who will be providing a light dinner theater. Tickets are $25 online or $35 at the door.

Gainesville's REALLY Got Talent
On Tuesday, Feb. 23, Gainesville's REALLY Got Talent, will come to Buchholz High School, from 6:30-9 pm. Styled after the popular television show, America's Got Talent, this event will be a mix of middle and high school students from Alachua County who will compete for prizes and a chance to meet with MaryAnn Raposo of Dream Makers Talent Agency. Tickets are $15 for adults and $10 for students.

Enjoy National Pancake Day on Feb. 23
In 2009, IHOP raised more than $25,300 for the Children’s Miracle Network at Shands Children’s Hospital at the University of Florida market area. Feb.23, is this year's National Pancake Day and it will be another fun and exciting day in your restaurants. Since beginning National Pancake Day in 2006, IHOP has raised nearly $2 million for charities in its communities. With your help and hunger for pancakes, Children’s Miracle Network hopes to raise $1 million in 2010!

Culinary Combat
This year, the 2009 champion Chef Rick Alabaugh, will be taking on two of North Central Florida’s best challengers on March 27 from 6-10 pm. Proceeds will benefit Children's Miracle Network. The secret ingredient will be revealed to each chef in a 15-minute stagger start. Each chef will then have one hour to complete a three course meal with all dishes utilizing the secret ingredient. The competition will be broadcast throughout the venue on closed circuit television in real time.
